"He who works with his hands is a laborer. He who works with his hands and head is a craftsman. He who works with his hands, his head, and his heart is an artist." -St. Francis of Assisi

My name is Jessica Rohl. I currently hold a license in the state of Pennsylvania (PA #MSG009942). It took me a long time to figure out what I wanted to be when I "grew up." My mother is a nurse. When I was a child, she would always ask me to rub her feet when she got home from work. She always joked with me that this is what I would be doing for the rest of my life. Of course, you never believe your mom. Massage Relaxation Therapeutic Hot Stone

In 2006, I decided to go to school for Massage Therapy at the Pennsylvania Institute of Massage Therapy. I finished the program in February 2007. I worked part time at a spa in Peddler's Village. I got married to my husband and we decided to move to Florida in June 2008. I always thought I would take my exams and get my license in when we were in Florida. Then, life happens when you are making plans. Massage got put on the back burner. I stayed with my full time job.

My family decided to move back home to Pennsylvania in 2013. I realized I missed doing massage. Massage therapy was the one thing in my life I found I was actually good at. It made me feel confident, something I was passionate about doing, and I loved helping other people. I went back to school on the weekends for massage therapy at the same school. I  graduated from the program in December 2014. I took my license exam 5 days before Christmas. I was so nervous because I am not a good test taker. I was so excited when I passed. I was one step closer to my goal.

I have always had this drive to run and operate my own massage business. My family and I were on vacation in the summer. We had a long drive ahead of us. I love long drives. It gives me time to be quiet, dream, a time to think. I was daydreaming about my future business. I was playing a game in my head of a run on of  words. Until it finally came to me. "Knots in Knead" was born. It is amazing how one idea can change your life. I am thankful for my mother because she always knew what I was born to do. I just had to figure it out for myself. I am so excited to see where this journey takes me. I cannot wait to start helping people be free of pain and lead more productive lives.
